Welcome to Card Groove. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of cardgroove.com (the "Site"), operated by Card Groove ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the Site.
1. About Card Groove
Card Groove is a free directory of sports card and trading card shows. We help users find shows by location and let organizers submit their events for listing. Show information is provided by third parties (organizers, promoters, venues, and the public) and we don't independently verify every detail.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Site, and at least 18 to create an account. By using Card Groove, you represent that you meet these requirements.
3. Accounts
If you create a free account, you agree to:
Provide accurate information
Keep your login credentials secure
Be responsible for activity under your account
Notify us if you suspect unauthorized access
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, post inaccurate or misleading content, or abuse the Site. You can delete your account at any time by contacting us.
4. Acceptable Use
When using Card Groove, you agree not to:
Submit false, misleading, or fraudulent show listings
Scrape, copy, or harvest data from the Site without our written permission
Use automated tools (bots, crawlers, scripts) to access the Site, except for standard search engine indexing
Interfere with or disrupt the Site's operation
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site
Use the Site to harass, threaten, or harm show organizers, vendors, or other users
Submit content that is illegal, infringing, defamatory, or violates anyone's rights
Resell, republish, or commercially redistribute Site content without permission
5. User-Submitted Content
When you submit a card show or other content to the Site, you:
Grant us a license. You give Card Groove a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, display, edit, format, reproduce, and distribute your submission on the Site and in related promotional materials (including social media posts about the show). This license continues as long as we choose to display or reference the submission.
Warrant ownership and accuracy. You confirm that the information is accurate, that you have the right to submit it, and that publication won't infringe anyone else's rights (including copyrights in flyers, logos, or images).
Accept editorial discretion. We may edit, reformat, decline, or remove any submission for any reason — including accuracy, clarity, formatting, or fit with the Site.
Take responsibility. You are responsible for the content you submit. We are not liable for inaccurate submissions or disputes between attendees and organizers.
6. Show Information Disclaimer
Show details on Card Groove — including dates, times, addresses, admission prices, table counts, and vendor lists — are provided by third parties and may be incomplete, inaccurate, or out of date. Shows can be cancelled, postponed, relocated, or change pricing without notice.
Always confirm details directly with the show organizer before traveling. Card Groove is not responsible for cancelled events, incorrect information, travel costs, admission disputes, or anything else that happens at or in connection with a listed show.
7. Intellectual Property
The Site itself — including its design, code, logos, branding, organization, and original content — is owned by Card Groove and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works from the Site without our permission.
User-submitted content remains owned by the submitter, subject to the license in Section 5.
8. Third-Party Links
The Site may link to third-party websites (organizer pages, venues, ticketing, etc.). We don't control these sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Visiting them is at your own risk.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that information on the Site is accurate, complete, or current. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Card Groove and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, lost data, travel expenses, or missed events — arising from your use of the Site or any show listed on it.
Our total liability for any claim related to the Site will not exceed $100.
11. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Card Groove from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Site, your submissions, or your violation of these Terms.
12. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Site at any time, with or without notice, for any reason — including violation of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive termination (including content licenses, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and indemnification) will continue to apply.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute arising from these Terms or your use of the Site will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Texas, and you consent to the jurisdiction of those courts.
15. Miscellaneous
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce any provision isn't a waiver of our right to enforce it later. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and Card Groove regarding the Site.
