PCX Austin (Pop Culture Convention)

PCX Austin brings its pop culture convention to the Fairmont Austin for a two-day event on Saturday, August 15th and Sunday, August 16th. Hours run 10 AM to 7 PM Saturday and 10 AM to 5 PM Sunday. The show floor is built for shopping and collecting, with comics, collectibles, original artwork, retro games, tabletop miniatures, cosplay gear, and anime merch across the space, alongside a full Artist Alley of independent creators.

While PCX is a broad pop culture event rather than a dedicated card show, the vendor and artist lineup runs heavily into gaming and TCG territory. Several guest artists have credits on Magic: The Gathering (Paul Adam, Mark A. Nelson, Samuel Perin) and Dungeons & Dragons (Sam Keiser), so you'll likely find Pokémon, One Piece, and TCG-related things on the floor, from singles and sealed to related goods and accessories.

The weekend also features celebrity and voice actor guests, panels, workshops, cosplay competitions, and live events. Scheduled guests include voice actors tied to franchises like One Piece and Pokémon (John Gremillion, Matthew Sussman, the original voice of Meowth), plus a Saturday-night concert and a LEGO Speed Build Challenge hosted by two-time LEGO Masters champion Krystle Starr.

Adult advance admission (ages 13+) is $30 Saturday, $25 Sunday, or $50 for the weekend, with a $149.99 VIP tier that adds early entry, a fast-pass autograph line, and perks. Kids ages 6-12 are $12 per day or $20 for the weekend, and kids 5 and under are free all weekend with a paid adult. Door prices run slightly higher.
