Journey Together Booster Box Reprint: What We Know So Far
August 12, 2026
Journey Together booster boxes appear to be returning to the market, but the new wave may be different from the boxes many collectors bought when the set was first released.
In a recent video, Pokemon TCG seller and market commentator AnonTCG said that he has already received allocations for more Journey Together booster boxes.
According to AnonTCG, the incoming boxes will be the standard, non-enhanced version. That distinction could be important because the original enhanced booster boxes included an exclusive N’s Reshiram promo card.
Here is what we know about the Journey Together reprint and what it could mean for booster box prices.
Journey Together Booster Boxes Are Coming Back
AnonTCG said that Journey Together booster boxes are coming and that he has already received allocations.
This is not the same as an official reprint announcement from The Pokemon Company. Pokemon rarely publishes detailed schedules for individual booster box reprints. Most early information comes through distributors and stores when allocations begin appearing.
However, direct allocations are stronger evidence than a general online rumor. At this point, it appears that another wave of Journey Together booster boxes is on the way, although we do not yet know exactly how large it will be.
The size of the reprint will ultimately determine its effect on the market.
A relatively small wave may only cause a temporary price decline. A larger and more widely distributed wave could keep prices lower for several months.
The Reprint Is Expected to Be Non-Enhanced
The most interesting part of AnonTCG’s update is that his allocated booster boxes are the non-enhanced version.
Journey Together originally introduced two different English booster box configurations:
The enhanced booster box contains 36 packs and an additional N’s Reshiram promo card.
The standard booster box contains the same 36 packs but does not include the promo.
The Pokemon Company officially described the enhanced box as a new product containing 36 booster packs and one traditional foil promo card featuring N’s Reshiram. Pokemon’s original product showcase confirms the difference between the two versions.
If the upcoming wave only contains standard boxes, it would add more Journey Together packs to the market without adding more copies of the N’s Reshiram box-topper promo.
That could cause the two versions to follow different price paths.
Could Enhanced Booster Boxes Become More Desirable?
AnonTCG believes there may be an opportunity in the enhanced booster box because it contains the exclusive N’s Reshiram promo card.
The enhanced box has already been selling at a premium, although prices vary between platforms and individual sales. Some sellers have continued asking around $300 or more, while completed sales have often landed below the highest listed prices.
If new standard boxes enter the market while enhanced boxes remain unavailable, the difference between the two products may become more noticeable.
Collectors would effectively have two choices:
Buy the less-expensive standard box for the packs.
Pay more for the original enhanced version and its N’s Reshiram promo.
If the enhanced configuration is not printed again, collectors may eventually treat it as a separate product rather than simply another Journey Together booster box.
However, we do not know that the enhanced box is permanently finished. The current allocations being non-enhanced do not prevent The Pokemon Company from producing more enhanced boxes later.
The promo gives the enhanced box something the standard version cannot offer, but that does not guarantee its price will rise immediately. Additional Journey Together supply could still put pressure on both versions in the short term.
Journey Together Booster Box Prices Could Fall
Additional supply normally creates at least some short-term pressure on sealed prices.
Stores receiving booster boxes through distribution have less reason to purchase boxes from the secondary market. Some will also price their inventory aggressively to recover cash or make room for newer Pokemon releases.
How far Journey Together prices fall will depend on several factors:
The total number of booster boxes distributed
How many stores receive allocations
The prices stores paid for the boxes
Whether more waves follow this one
Overall demand for Journey Together packs
A reprint does not necessarily cause prices to collapse immediately. Product can take time to reach stores, and some sellers may initially hold prices close to the existing market.
Once more boxes are listed for sale, competition between sellers could begin pushing prices lower.
Journey Together Still Has Plenty of Time in Rotation
Journey Together is still a relatively recent set and is expected to remain legal in the Standard format for quite a while. AnonTCG estimates that it will not rotate out until April 2028.
That gives The Pokemon Company plenty of time to continue printing the set if demand remains strong. This upcoming booster box wave may not be the final Journey Together reprint.
Because of that, I would expect standard booster box prices to come down as the new supply reaches stores. How far they fall will depend on the size of the allocations, but buyers may not need to rush into the first boxes that appear.
The enhanced booster box is a slightly different situation because of the N’s Reshiram promo. If the new boxes are all non-enhanced, the reprint would increase the supply of Journey Together packs without adding more of that specific enhanced product.
That could help the enhanced version hold a premium, but it does not necessarily protect it from a broader decline in Journey Together prices. More supply is still more supply, and both versions could become cheaper in the short term.
There May Be No Need to Buy Immediately
One of the broader points in AnonTCG’s video is that buyers do not necessarily need to purchase reprinted products as soon as prices begin falling.
Reprints can create a period of “dead money,” where a sealed product remains flat for several months while the market absorbs the new supply.
AnonTCG pointed to previous Pokemon reprints as examples. Prices can decline when the product arrives, remain relatively flat as inventory moves through the market and eventually begin recovering when supply becomes harder to find.
Journey Together may not follow the exact same timeline as other sets, especially since we do not know the size of this booster box wave. Still, buyers may have time to watch availability and pricing before making a decision.
The first discounted listing is not always the bottom.
What We Still Do Not Know
Several important details remain unclear:
The exact release date for the incoming booster boxes
The total size of the reprint
Which distributors and stores will receive boxes
Whether additional waves will follow
Whether enhanced booster boxes could return later
How low standard booster box prices may fall
Those details matter more than the word “reprint” by itself.
A small allocation could disappear quickly with limited market impact. A large reprint distributed across many stores could create a much longer buying window.
Bottom Line
Based on AnonTCG’s distributor allocations, more Journey Together booster boxes appear to be coming.
The incoming boxes are expected to be the standard, non-enhanced version without the N’s Reshiram promo. If that remains true across the wider reprint, it could help the original enhanced booster box maintain a separate collector premium.
Standard booster box prices may decline as the new supply reaches stores, but it is too early to know how significant that decline will be. Journey Together is expected to remain in rotation for quite a while, so there is also a chance that more product could be printed later.
Buyers should watch actual availability and pricing rather than rushing based only on the initial reprint news.
For now, the biggest thing to watch is whether these allocations turn into a small restock or a much larger market-wide reprint.
